Vichy Dermablend [3D CORRECTION] & Vichy Ideal Soleil SPF 50 3-IN-1 Tinted Anti-Dark Spots Care | New At The Pharmacy

Spring launches are everywhere, and there’s something new in the French Skincare department too! Vichy, alongside other products, has launched a new foundation, the Dermablend [3D Correction], and a new tinted sunscreen, the Idéal Soleil SPF 50 3-in-1 Tinted Anti-Dark Spots Care. I’ve tried samples of them both, and here’s my thoughts!

Vichy Dermablend [3D CORRECTION] & Vichy Ideal Soleil SPF 50 3-IN-1 Tinted Anti-Dark Spots Care Review

Vichy Dermablend [3D Correction] Foundation

The Dermablend line from Vichy is targeted towards skin that needs a lot of coverage: the (newly repackaged) liquid foundation is a beautiful full coverage formula that works amazingly as a concealer too, the cream foundation is easier to sheer out for a medium coverage and the concealers are great too. My favourite item has always been the translucent powder, that is really finally milled and works perfectly for setting those high coverage products in place.

But what about the new formula? This foundation is said to be a “corrective resurfacing active foundation” with 16 hours wear: it’s formulated with oily and acne prone skin in mind, and claims to immediately cover and smooth skin imperfections and reduce them with day by day wear. It contains Salicylic Acid and Eperuline (a soothing anti-redness ingredient), and the texture is an innovative bi-phase oil free formula to make it well tollerated by the skin and allow the product to cover even with a really fine layer.

When I came to try this foundation, I wasn’t expecting to like it. I usually go for medium coverage skin like bases, and something designed to cover acne isn’t usually exactly that. Usually, because this foundation is pretty close! it’s less skin like than I usually like but still looks natural, and not at all mask like. The innovative formula is really, really smoothing: it dries to a beautiful satin finish and makes the skin look poreless. I had the “luck” to try it on a week when my skin had a few hormonal breakouts, and the verdict is good on that aspect too: it glides beautifully over imperfections, and whilst concealer for complete coverage is needed (this foundation sits on the upper side of medium coverage I’d say!) it doesn’t accentuate any dryness or irregularities of the skin. I’m wearing it here!

If your skin is prone to breakouts this foundation is perfect for you: it covers without being mask like, and that’s amazing! If you have more normal skin it still going to look beautiful though: it gives a really perfected look, and the active ingredients in it might help prevent that few blemishes almost everyone tends to get now and then!

Idéal Soleil SPF 50 3-in-1 Tinted Anti-Dark Spots Care

The Ideal Soleil SPF 50 3-in-1 Tinted Anti-Spots Care is a multitasking product in the form of a tinted sunscreen. It’s aimed at people that use a high SPF daily to treat and prevent dark spots, and can be used in conjunction with a day cream or alone.
It contains PhE-Resorcinol, known for its tyrosinase inhibition properties that prevent melanin production. It contains mineral pigments for lightweight coverage, and the sun protection is given by both chemical and physical filters.

It is a really beautiful tinted moisturizer: it simply looks like your skin but better, and if you don’t have many imperfections or redness it’s going to be more than enough. It gives to the skin a beautiful natural finish, not mat but not too glowy either, and it doesn’t tend to slide off during the day. The shade is a light to medium universal shade that isn’t orange: I’ve used it when I was slightly paler than its shade and it worked perfectly fine as it’s so light, and when it was slightly too light for me didn’t give me a ghost face effect. The high SPF is perfect, and the fact that treats dark spots at the same time is a really good bonus. If you want a fuller coverage you can pair it with a light to medium coverage foundation and use it as a primer: your skin is going to look perfect without anything heavy! You can see me wearing it here.

Two very different bases that get two big thumbs up for me! Have you tried any of these? Are you a fan of Vichy foundations?

Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep & Normaderm BB Clear | New at the Pharmacy

It’s time to update you about exciting new things at the Pharmacy again! Apart from a few new things in their Pureté Thermale cleansing range like the new Beautifying Micellar Cleansing Oil (shared in my last monthly favourites here), Vichy has launched a new BB cream and a new night cream, and they’re both amazing.

Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep Normaderm BB Clear

Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep
This regenerating gel-balm formulated especially for night time use makes you wake up with plumped, rested and fresh skin, no matter the quality of your sleep. Tested on nurses and new mums, Skin Sleep mimics the phase of deep sleep when the skin is repairing itself more actively for a better skin in the morning.
Meant to treat dull and uneven skin tone, the gel-balm texture is fresh and really pleasant to use. It contains Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate the skin, LHA which stimulates skin renewal, Glycyrrhizic Acid that soothes and protects Hyaluronic Acid in the skin whilst reducing flaking and restoring suppleness, Caffeine that stimulates the skin, Vitamin B3 that strengthens the skin barrier and protects against redness and has antioxidant properties and repairing oils to make skin more supple.
I’ve been using it for 10 days or so and I’ve been loving the result: it feels like a cuddle on the skin and my skin is truly radiant in the morning. I love the concept, and the result is beautiful!

Vichy Normaderm BB Clear
This new BB cream is available in two shades, and I’ve used the Light one a few times and loved it. It contains Salicylic Acid to treat imperfections and Mineral Pigments to cover them. It has a SPF of 16 and is oil free. it can be applied in place of a day cream or over it, and can be built up for more coverage.
The result is beautiful and applied over my day cream (with my normal to dry skin I would never use it without it) is rather glowy too, and a touch of powder doesn’t disturb that. It builds up beautifully, just like they promise: a first layer evens out the skin and a second one really covers everything, redness included.
I love to include something that fights imperfections is my skincare routine, as my skin stays clear only if I prevent them, and using this a few times a week seems is perfect!

What do you think of this new Vichy items? Have they come out in your country yet?

La Roche Posay Anthelios KA & Vichy Ideal Body | New at the Pharmacy

I have more new things for you today, and this time from our loved French Pharmacy brands La Roche Posay and Vichy. But first, let’s mention the fact that I finally managed to squeeze in a midweek post! Hurray!
I have something new for the face from La Roche Posay, and some new for the body from Vichy: Anthelios KA and the new Ideal Body range. I’’ve been trying a few samples in the last couple of weeks and I’m in love, so let’s discover a bit more about them!

La Roche Posay Anthelios KA - Daily Protective Moisturizing Care SPF 100
If you’re familiar with the brand, you’ll know that under the Anthelios range usually fall their sun protection products, and they come with orange packaging.
This product has SPF, but it’s not meant to be used under the direct summer sun at the beach, is an everyday moisturizer with SPF! Designed to give daily protection agains the effects of the sun for skins at high risk of UV damage, is meant to be applied on all exposed areas and is an excellent base for makeup.
It gives moisture and protection to the skin all day long, but it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy: dries wonderfully to a semi mat finish and feels dry to the touch, and it’s truly a great base for makeup as the brand says. I also love the packaging of the full size, as it’s got a great pump that gives the perfect amount of products for exposed areas.
It can be applied over any serum and it’s a great morning moisturizer all year long: as long as you use a proper suncare when needed this is going to protect your skin all day!

Vichy Ideal Body - Balm, Serum Milk and Body Oil
What comes to mind when reading the box of this range is that they’ve put the heroes of face treatments into a beautiful new body collection. 10 fundamental oils, LHA and Hyaluronic Acid are the stars of the range, to ensure the body in nourished, firmed, smoothed and even toned. I love the addition of the LHA, as I need a bit of daily gentle exfoliation on my body too!
There are a luxurious and soft body balm, an innovative milk-serum with a silky light formula and an amazing dry oil. I’ve tried the balm and the milk-serum, and loved them both. I’ve just bought the balm to apply in the evening, but as soon as spring comes I’m going to get the milk-serum too as it’s just so great!
The bonus? The smell. Just too dreamy!

What do you think of these new launches? Have you already seen these products around?

Vichy Ideal Body - Balsamo, Latte-siero e Olio
