Glamglow Youthmud & Supermud

I am a big lover of face masks. They really make a difference in my skincare routine! Today I want to tell to you about a couple of amazing ones from Glamglow.

Glamglow Youthmud Supermud

The Youthmud Tinglexfoliating Treatment is a dark grey/green mask that dries light blue-green. It’s got green tea leafs is for antioxidant properties (I mean, there are actual leafs in the product!), volcanic pumice rock and french clay. It dries in 10 minutes, and at the beginning it really tingles as promised. It’s only for the first couple of minutes though, and it’s not unpleasant. The mask is removed really easily: the first time I used it I assumed it would have to be hard to take off and splashed a lot of warm water on my face, removing it almost completely. Adding a bit of water massaging it in adds a little bit of really gentle exfoliation with the green tea leafs and it’s so pleasant to do!

The effect of this mask is just gorgeous: I am a big fan of exfoliators, masks, the Clarisonic… But I never felt my skin so smooth like after a single use of this mask. I was so, so amazed! My skin is left soft, even, not the slightest bit red or irritated. I don’t have anything more to say, it’s just amazing!

The Supemud Clearing Treatment is a darker grey mask that dries slightly more blue in colour. It’s a little bit easier to apply as it’s softer in texture and there are less leafs in, and contains, other that the usual green tea a blend of 6 acids (AHAs and BHAs). There are also a lot of other ingredients meant to improve the look of pores and the overall condition of the skin. it still tingles a bit but a lot less than the Youthmud one, and it still leaves the skin super soft. They say to remove it after 5 to 20 minutes, and can be also used locally on troubled areas.

I like to use this one the night after I used the other, to still have the exfoliating benefits of the other one, and it’s been working great. It really works on troubled areas: I’m prone to a bit of congestion on my chin area, and this one smoothes it out completely, finishing the work the other mask started the night before. They’re such a power duo!

I’m so happy I finally decided to try these out: they’re so amazing! I love a good face mask and these two undoubtedly perform well.

Have you tried these masks? What is your favourite face mask? I love to try new ones!

Asciuga in 10 minuti, e all’inizio pizzica davvero come promesso.

Avete provato queste maschere? Qual’è la vostra maschera preferita? Mi piace provarne sempre di nuove!

  1. Hey Gyudy, thanks for the review! I'm glad to hear you love these. I think I have a sample packet of two of one of these tucked away somewhere. I keep thinking I'll give them a go but I haven't! My favorite mask is Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask. It manages to deep-cleanse AND calm the skin at the same time! Whenever my skin looks dull or just a little irritated, that is the product I reach for :)

  2. Glamglow are so amazing. I'm currently trying out their tester kit with samples of all their masks and my favourite so far is definitely the clearing treatment x

  9. I wasn't a huge fan of the original glam glow. I don't know why... but I just found it a bit average for the price. But I swear by the Supermud (in the white pot). It's so good! Worth every penny. x

  10. Thanks for comparing the two! I've tried the Youth Mud but not the Super Mud, I've been wanting to test it out but have been waiting until I can score a sample somehow. :-) P.S. Hope you're having a wonderful day! :-D

  11. I just bought the black one and I'm wondering whether I made a mistake. Everybody's review makes me think that the white one would be more adapted for my skin. I may have to buy it too :P

  14. They are both great and I'm with you, it takes courage to splurge on these! I'd been seeing the set with Supermud and mini Youthmud for months before buying it ;) xx

  15. I know! This set contained a mini Youthmud and it's what made me buy it, as the size is pretty reasonable considering the full price... But I'd been eyeing it up for months and bought it with 20% off to justify it (it usually retails for €50 here)! They're amazing as everyone says though ;) xx

  16. They're both great and I think you're going to benefit from the Youthmud too... If you have slightly more congested or problematic skin you can always go for the Supermud afterwards, I think you're going to love both! How are you finding it? :) xx

  17. Thank you my friend, you're always so sweet! I think I prefer Supermud, firstly because I find it easier and less messy to apply... The leaves in the Youthmud are a nightmare! But the softness of my skin afterwards makes up for them ;) I hope you can get a sample soon as I think the Supermud it's going to be perfect for you! ;) xx

  18. I think the biggest problem with the original one is the slightly messier application... But I've been so wowed by the immediate result! The Supermud is even more awesome though, you're right! I smelled the newish hydrating one in the blue tub and it smells of coconut in such a heavenly way... I have to find a sample of that! ;) xx

;) xx

  23. I find you need a little bit less than average though so I think it slightly makes up for the high price! They're so amazing, but so pricy... ;) xx
