A Lush Christmas

After many years without buying anything from Lush, a couple of visits to the store and I already feel a dangerous addiction coming.
I tried a few things from them a few years ago, and they left me unimpressed. The main thing, funnily, was that I couldn’t bring the gorgeous scents of the shop home. Well, seeing my current experience I think I simply chose the wrong products!
Let’s see what I bought from their Christmas collection!

Lush Christmas Snow Fairy Celebrate Snow Angel

Snow Angel Bath Melt
This bath melt rich in Cocoa Butter, dissolves with a really fine foam that soon leaves room for a gorgeous golden shimmer. The scent is simply divine, being slightly floral and with a distinct note of almond, and this product makes for a really moisturizing bath! I love that the shimmer is really delicate but you can still find a couple left somewhere on your body (it just makes me smile!), and it’s such a lovely product to use!

Snow Fairy Shower Gel
My visit to Lush was inspired by this post from The Misty Mom, where she talked about this shower gel, mentioning the slightly exfoliating properties of the Lactic Acid in it. Well, she was absolutely right! My arms tend to stay slightly bumpy no matter if I exfoliate or not, but this has really made a difference: they immediately feel so soft, and paired with the body lotion I’m going to talk about next I’ve had amazing results! The scent is really, really sweet, but I strangely enjoy it… I’m using it sparingly and only on my arms because I don’t want to run out too soon!

Celebrate Body Lotion
This is my favourite thing of them all. A really rich body lotion with a uplifting citrusy scent and a splash of cognac? Oh yes! It’s really moisturizing thanks to the Cocoa Butter and Almond Oil, and the Lime Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil and Orange Flower Absolute give it that amazing scent! I just love it, and I’ve been using it a couple of times a week to keep using other less interesting body lotions I have, but I feel a backup of this is needed… It’s just so amazing!

What have you bought from the Lush Christmas collection? Give me your Lush recommendations, I want to feed this new love!

Ho provato qualche prodotto qualche anno fa, rimanendo delusa.

Fate Voi - Gel Doccia

  1. I love Celebrate I really enjoyed it last yeah, haven't repurchased a new pot yet although I'd like to. I'm not usually a fan of super sweet scents but for some reason I love Snow Fairy it's one of my faves! :) Great roundup post xx

  2. I become obsessed with Lush years ago when I lived in London (that's like 10 years now...wow). Anyway, moving on, lol. I couldn't get them for years afterwards and obviously there are no stores in The Bahamas, but I do try to stop into a store when I'm in the U.S. Last time I hauled some of the holiday bath bombs which are still sitting nicely displayed in my bedroom because I can't bring myself to use them. :-) Snow Fairy is a little too sweet for me, but I like Olive Branch.

  3. I have really got back into Lush recently, I am not sure why I was not really that interested in it before, because they actually have so many great products and have great skin benefits. I am obsessed with a bath bomb called So White that comes out at Christmas, it smells like apples and is so refreshing :)

  4. Ciao carissima!

  7. If I had to buy it for the scent I probably would have left it at the shop, but I ended up loving it! It's so sweet that you can just like it, lol! ;) xx

  17. Hello Gyudy,

How serendipitous..I'm headed to Lush today to sample their long-wearing lipcolor/stains and I will be keeping my eye out for that shower gel. Everytime I go into that store, I'm so overwhelmed, my eyes and nose don't know where to look and smell first :) Thank you bella, for this post.

  18. I do really like their products, but I hate the packaging, its so cheap looking. I'm very fussy about the contents of my bathroom shelf. I also hate that everything goes off quickly because they use all natural stuff....like, stuff the planet, I want my cleanser to last more than a month without going funny. I know that makes me a bad person and I'm going to hell. But still. That's why me and Lush will never be good friends! xx

  19. Hey Gyudy, I actually haven't used anything from Lush for YEARS as well! I don't have a bathtub for the moment, so all the lovely bath stuff is wasted on me. I did go into the store with some friends a little while back, but I managed not to buy anything! I sneeze very easily in Lush stores though. All the scents get to me after a while ;)

  22. I adore the snow fairy shower gel. But what I love the most are the cinders and shoot for the stars bath bombs.
I posted about them a few days ago in case you're interested.
